ELECTRIFIED DOUBLE TRACKING, SEREMBAN TO JOHOR

HSS undertook preliminary engineering studies for the proposed electrified double tracking line between Seremban and Johor Baru. The project comprised over 700 track kilometers of rail, 130 road-over-rail bridges and 25 stations. HSS designed of 295km of railway alignment to a design speed of 165kph. Specific inputs covered geometric design of station and halts, including yards, hydrological analysis of catchment areas affected by the alignment and the sizing of bridges and culverts, the preparation of bridge general arrangement drawings, services relocation and preparation of preliminary cost estimates.
