WESTERN CORRIDOR ROAD PRELIMINARY DESIGN & CLASS 3 ESTIMATE
The Project is located in Central and Eastern Kalimantan. The Mines of Bumbun (BBN), Juloi (JNW) and Sumber Barito Kalteng (SBKC) will be progressively developed between 2019 and 2027. ROM coal will be trucked to the Bumban CHPP, then product coal delivered initially (circa 2021 – 2027) via the Western Corridor Road to Tuhup Port barging south along the Barito River and then later East to the Melak Port for Baring east along the Mahakam River.
Link 1 is a new road from Juloi NW to Banana Kongap and the length is approximately 17km. Link 2 is a new road from Banana Kongap to Juloi Junction and approximately 22 km in length. The SS Upper haul road is a new road from Juloi Junction to Bumbun and is approximately 4km in length. Another 88 km of road connects the Juloi Junction to Maruwai Junction. The total length of the Western Corridor road is approximately 131 km.
