MAJU EXPRESSWAY EXTENSION TO KLIA (MEX 2)

The Maju Expressway Extension or MEX 2 comprises a 16km long highway from Putrajaya to KLIA Expressway. This stretch was part of the original Concession Agreement that was deferred due to the Financial Crisis of 1998. It was designed to provide the shortest route to both the Kuala Lumpur city center and the Putrajaya region with a direct connection to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2. The route begins at the Putrajaya Interchange and merges onto the FT26 (existing Lebuhraya KLIA) in Sepang.

HSS was engaged to design the expressway works, including the interchange at Putrajaya, a toll plaza and a supervision building. HSS also undertook construction supervision.
