KUALA LUMPUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT 2 (KLIA 2)

In 2009, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad decided to proceed with a plan to construct a new terminal for low-cost carriers to operate from the KLIA site, this terminal is to be known as “KLIA 2”. This would replace the old Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) in the cargo complex. The initial design capacity was set at 45 million passengers per annum, comprising 68 gates and 10 remote stands and 80 aerobridges. Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad engaged HSS to undertake preliminary and detailed design of the bulk earthworks (Package EW02) for the airside surfaces, ground improvement works and drainage works.
