EXPRESS RAIL LINK (ERL) - TECHNICAL SUPPORT & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
HSS was appointed as the technical support consultants for the 56km Express Rail Link from Sentral Station at Brickfields to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). It was the first standard gauge heavy rail system in Malaysia. A key requirement was for baggage checked-in at KL Sentral Station to be secured and bonded all the way to the air-side system. The services provided by HSS included overall project management. Specific responsibilities included engineering management of the civil and structural works and railways system, planning and cost control, construction management and design reviews of the preliminary engineering works.
