BANDAR BUKIT RAJA – INTEGRATED TOWNSHIP
Bandar Bukit Raja taglined as the ‘Doorway to a New World in Klang’, is an integrated, self contained smart and sustainable township located in Klang, Selangor covering an area of approximately 4019 acres. Sime Darby Development’s vision was to turn this former palm oil estate to a landmark township based on its topography, market demands and economic potential including a transportation plan with enhanced accessibility to the neighbourhood.
HSS was tasked to design the entire infrastructure for this township for Stage 1 covering approximately 1513 acres which includes detail design for soil investigation and geotechnical evaluation, earthworks, road network, drainage, sewerage reticulation works, a 507,000 P.E. capacity sewerage treatment system and water reticulation works including a 6.0 million gallons storage reservoir. Thirty percent of the land is in undulating terrain with deep layers of stiff marine clay ranging from 15m to 40m. Internal road reserves was designed to local council standards. Drainage system was designed to cater for tidal effects with wide shallow drains. Reservoirs & water supply pipes were designed for gravity flow thus avoiding pumping system.
