CONNAUGHT BRIDGE ACROSS KLANG RIVER, SELANGOR

HSS was appointed to engineer the construction of a concrete bridge to replace the old Bailey Connaught Bridge in Klang, Selangor. The bridge is 175m long, comprising five spans each of 35 metres. The project included a 35 metre long single span bridge across Jalan Sungai Rasau. HSS was engaged to prepare detailed engineering design of substructure, superstructure, the adjoining pavement, the piled embankment, retaining walls, and relocation of the existing bridge. HSS also supervised the construction of the works on site.
