SUNGAI PULAI BRIDGE AND LINK ROAD FROM TANJUNG PELEPAS

The Sungai Pulai bridge provides a link between Tanjung Pelepas and Tanjung Pulai in Johor which significantly reduces vehicle travelling time. The works comprise a dual two-lane bridge viaduct and link road with a total length of 7.3km. The crossing at Sungai Pulai involves a viaduct bridge across the 826m wide river channel with a navigation main span of 160m. The main spans consist of balanced cantilever box girders with post-tensioning whereas the approach spans are T-beams with in-situ slabs. Independent pier protection structure is provided to accommodate ship impact loading.
