RECTIFICATION OF FIRE DAMAGE TO PENANG BRIDGE
HSS was commissioned to undertake a detailed assessment of an 80m section of the Penang Bridge which was damaged by a 5-hour long fire on 11 September 2010. HSS was engaged to investigate and design and implement rectification works in four stages.

Scope Of Work
Stage 1 – Involves an initial Site visit to review the structure and identification of the proposed approach to investigation and pelographic testing needs.
Stage 2 – Involves the actual on site works and review of Test results and submission of a preliminary report.
Stage 3 – Involves a detailed Structural Assessment and the development of the Remedial Recommendations using CFRP.
Stage 4 – Involves Supervision during Remedial Works.
