Principal Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical design consultancy works for the following:

1. HT, LV & ELV
2. TCSS & TCS
3. And other related electrical services as required.

• To liaise and be the focal point to clients, lead and/or support M& E team to ensure client interest are effectively met.
• Liaise with project team members either internal or external.
• Represent the company at meetings with the best interest of the client and company always being protected. Attend tender proposal and RFI briefings.
• To check and ensure all the documentation for client/ authorities submission are sufficient, accurate and complete.
• To ensure all the design complies with relevant standards, authorities, client requirement and QESH procedure as well.
• To prepare and update technical specification and bill of quantities (B.O.Q /S.O.W) as well as provide reports as required advising clients on the project status/updates.
• To act as the technical leader and project manager for the coordination and lead of projects undertaken.
• Able to manage several simultaneous projects as assigned.
• Carry out the responsibilities as senior design engineer inclusive:
• Preparation and/ or development of client brief or client’s brief for approval.
• Assist development of project for pre and post tender programmes.
• Carry out survey of existing facilities / utilities and prepare necessary reports.
• Prepare sketch drawings in sufficient detail for draughtsperson to produce satisfactory detail drawings as require for tender, construction or other purpose.
• Technically vet tenders and provide recommendation to management for approval.
• Ensure contractors carry out works with good engineering practice and according to contract documentation.
• Contractor claims evaluation, verifications and certifications
• Prepare feasibility studies, presentation material and carry out presentation to client.
• Any other duties that may be assigned to you time to time.

Principal Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Member of Board of Engineers, Malaysia (with active practising certificate).
• Minimum 7 years’ experience with consultancy firm.
• Close and good contacts with TNB (transmission and distribution), Telco providers and Contractors.
• Design knowledge and competency up to 275KVa systems including relocation works design and monitoring.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Controls systems (e.g. SCADA, TCS, TCSS, etc.)
• Able to review and verify electrical studies such as PSS, Discharge reports, FAT analysis for electrical equipment, etc.)
• Knowledge in development of Semi-conductor plants, bio-medical warehouse as well as Data Centers will be required.
• Additional knowledge in Renewable energy as well as electrical hybrid systems will be an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills

Principal Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall management of the project starting from inception to the completion
• To lead a team of junior engineers, assigned for a particular project
• To provide technical support to the juniors for the design works
• To review all the design and drawings, prepared by the junior engineers and to take the ownership of the design output before issuance to external parties
• To do the necessary interface with other departments for information
• To undertake CAT-III check (based on independent design) of the complicated design, undertaken by the junior engineers.
• To provide training to the design team on design methodology, new codes, design software, construction methodology etc.
• To arrange periodic meeting with the juniors to monitor the progress of design work
• To undertake the design of bridge & port structures
• To prepare the tender documents and other technical reports including project specifications
• To attend meetings, presentations etc with the client and authorities
• To ensure all the submissions follow ISO procedures
• To undertake site visit, as and when required
• To provide necessary head office support for the on-going construction jobs to ensure seamless construction works at site.

Principal Requirements

• BachelorsDegree in Civil Engineering
• Possesses experience of 2 to 10 years precisely on bridge design
• At least 10 to 15 years of design Experience on Bridge and Marine (preferable) Structures for Senior Engineer
• Experience in Design of Elevated Guideway Structure for the Rail Transit, LRT, MRT or Metro shall be preferable
• Experience in the Design of Long Span Bridges with Segmental Construction
• Experience in the Assessment and Design of Strengthening Works of existing bridges
• Familiar to the International Code of Practices
• Exposure to the International Code of Practices
• Proficiency in Bridge Design Software such as OpenBridge, MIDAS-Civil, SBD, STAAD-Pro etc
• Experience in leading a team of Junior Engineers
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
• Competency in writing technical reports and making presentations
• Willing to relocate to the Overseas
