VICTORIA HARBOUR LAND RECLAMATION

The Victoria Harbour project covers 20 hectares of land reclamation for mixed development along Victoria Bay in Sabah. The reclamation works were carried out in two phases involving dredging and pumping sand from a borrow site near Pulau Dat. HSS was appointed to prepare the overall engineering master plan and to undertake site investigations and surveys, environmental impact assessment, coastal hydraulic model studies and economic evaluation of project options. At the design stage, HSS prepared preliminary and detailed engineering designs for the reclamation and site development works. The project marked one of HSS’s earliest projects undertaken in East Malaysia.
