SINGLE SESSION SCHOOLS PROJECT, MALAYSIA

The Ministry of Education (MOE) appointed HSS as the project management consultant to assist the Government to manage the implementation and completion of ten schools in Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Sabah under the ‘Single Session Schools Project’ to be implemented on a design/build basis. There are two types of schools – Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK). HSS was appointed as project management consultant, covering the conceptual stage, design and construction, through to handling over the completed schools to MOE. Inputs included price negotiation between the design/build contractor and MOE, facilitating local authority approvals and financial control/reporting.
