KUALA LUMPUR TO KUALA SELANGOR EXPRESSWAY

The Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Selangor Expressway (KLS Expressway), also known as the LATAR Expressway, is a greenfield dual carriageway. It is part of the Kuala Lumpur outer ring road which incorporates five interchanges and provides access to the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), the North-South Expressway (PLUS) and the planned West Coast Highway. Prior to the construction of the KLS Expressway, the only route to Kuala Selangor was through the Federal Route 54 with a journey time of one hour. The KLS Expressway was designed to link the coastal area in the north-western region of Selangor and the northern region, with a travel time of 18 minutes. HSS was engaged to provide project management consultancy services. The work included five interchanges, namely at Templer’s Park, Kuang, Kundang, Puncak Alam and Ijok.
