Healthcare system in Malaysia is mainly under the care of the Ministry of Health. It operates on a 2-tier system consisting of both public or government healthcare system as a base and supported by a co-existing private sector.

In recent years, Malaysia has seen a rise in medical tourism and the government is keen in developing this sector to meet the rising need of medical services and facilities for both Malaysians and those from abroad.
